Assistierte Informationsanzeige in Smart Meeting Rooms
نویسنده
چکیده
The display of visual content is an important means to support presentations and discussions. For this, utilizing multi-display-environments (MDE) seems promising in order to show different aspects of data simultaneously and to combine pieces of content from various users. Smart Meeting Rooms (SMRs) provide such an environment but also allow for new assistance approaches, which can support users designing and adapting the display of information. However, current approaches for SMRs barely focus on the display of information with regard to presentations and discussions. Therefore, the goal of this thesis is to provide new solutions for an assisted information presentation in smart meeting rooms. For this, comprehensive models are introduced which serve as a basis for further approaches. Based on these models, the exchange of content between multiple personal devices and the automatic distribution and arrangement of multiple views on different displays are addressed. Furthermore, a new way is introduced that allows users to interactively generate new views on demand and to seamlessly enhance an existing presentation with these additional views. Moreover, further assistance is introduced in order to simplify the required manual interaction to change the display of information and to support the search for semantically related content. Finally, an assistance approach also addresses different situations during a meeting by automatically adapting the developed means according to the current situation.

Information presentation in Smart Meeting Rooms faces huge challenges due to the heterogeneity and dynamic of those environments. The characteristics of different devices, the heterogeneity of the display surfaces and the diverse applications, along with the aim of smart environments to support users in their tasks, pose new problems and challenges for the presentation of information. The aim o...

We introduce our research on smart environments, in particular research on smart meeting rooms and investigate how research approaches here can be used in the context of smart museum environments. We distinguish the identification of domain knowledge, its use in sensory perception, its use in interpretation and modeling of events and acts in smart environments and we have some observations on o...
متن کاملAI Methods for Smart Environments - A Case Study on Team Assistance in Smart Meeting Rooms
Ubiquitous computing aims for the realisation of environments that assist users autonomously and proactively in a non-distractive manner. Therefore smart environment infrastructures need to be able to identify users needs (intention recognition) and to plan an appropriate assisting strategy (strategy generation) without explicit user interaction. In our two-stage approach we address inferring t...
